A wilting plant

Drooping can happen in both dry and wet soil.

What to look for

Feel the mix below the surface and lift the pot if practical. A dry root ball may need water, while a wet pot with continued wilting can point to poor drainage or damaged roots.

What to do

Water if the plant's mix is dry and its normal care calls for it. If it is already wet, pause watering and inspect drainage and roots. Keep the plant out of harsh sun while you investigate.
