Whiteflies

Tiny white insects may flutter up when foliage is disturbed.

What to look for

Look beneath leaves for tiny white adults and flat immature stages. They may fly up when the plant is moved; yellowing leaves or sticky honeydew can also occur.

What to do

Separate the plant, rinse suitable leaf undersides and check nearby plants. Yellow sticky cards help monitor adults but do not remove all immature stages. Inspect and repeat the gentle removal.
